My dodge is displaying the codes P1756 and P1762. Also, 95 percent of the time, especially after sitting in the cold for an extended period of time my dodge will not shift into second until 3000+RPM. Please, any solutions will help!

The common link between those two codes is the governor pressure sensor.

Replace it and give the tranny a fluid change while you're in there.

I don't know what the hourly rate is in your area.
Call your preferred shop for a quote.

But if you are going to take it to a shop for the work, you should let them verify the diagnoses, they are there touching, feeling and hearing the the truck. They will be a better judge in person.

I went to my local shop and they want to charge me 1.9 hours for labor. This doesn't sound right to me seeing how people posting said they have done it in a half hour. 299$ for the repair, this seems a little excessive.

I wouldn't call it excessive.

You are getting
transmission fluid,
filter,
pan gasket,
the sensor.
And the labor to put it in.

300.00 sounds acceptable to me.

I called my local dodge dealer and they told me 255.00 in labor, I didn't price any of the parts.
