Changed idle control sensor and idle is still rough sometimes cutting off the engine

Check for vacuum leaks. Pull the EGR valve off and see if it is seated closed all the way with no carbon holding it open.

My dodge ram 1500 had the same issue. I tried checking for vaccum leaks but found none. Just in case that does not work you can check the idler control module. Remove it and clean it out, it is located or connected to the throttle body. Hope this helps.
