1999 Dodge Ram No Power to Code Reader

Is there a fuse or a fusable link for the Code reader port? Code reader does not power when plugged in. Code reader itself odes work.

Pin 16 of your datalink connector is voltage, hot all the time. That circuit is fuse protected, fuse 12-- 10 amp. Also, my info shows you may be able to access mil codes, doesn't hurt to try. You cycle the key, no crank, on--off, on--off, on, then the mil starts flashing, you count the flashes to get the codes.
