I just purchased my Dodge a few days ago. I know with this high of mileage on any vehicle, things ca go wrong when you are not the only owner. I am just looking for advice on a solid maintenance plan for this truck to extend the life as long as I can. Should I crunch the numbers on the maintenance schedules in the owners manual and follow all the reccomended types of fluids and interval for servicing? Or since the owners manual schedule only goes to 120,000 miles, is another schedule suggested that will help the life of the truck? Also, should I invest the money and have all fluids and filters replaced since I don't know for sure when they were last changed?

That sounds like a very good idea. Start fresh, it can only help you. After the fluids have been changed then you can start the maintainance schedule from the beginning. A full tune up may be in order too. That is a judgement call by looking at the stuff on the vehicle. If you decide to do a full tune up too then I would suggest replacing ignition coil while your there, it does not cost alot and are common failures for this truck.
