Transmission problem
1994 Dodge Ram Two Wheel Drive Automatic 550, 00 miles

I had my transmission rebuilt with a new kit. After installation, the truck had no reverse, 1st & 3rd gear slipped, and the front seal leaked. What are some of the things that could have been done wrong during the rebuilding? Also, I was wondering how much it might cost to be repaired at a professional transmission shop.

It sounds like the low reverse band isn't properly adjusted. As far as the front seal, it could have been damaged when the torque converter was installed in the front pump.

The first time it could have been damaged but I changed the seal right away and it leaked even worse.

You didn't answer my entire question about a estimate to fix these problems.

Was the torque converter replaced when the work was done? If not, the old one may be worn causing the seal to go bad. As far as a price, the trans has to come out for the seal. I would estimate around 600.00 if no other parts need replaced.
