1998 Dodge 1500 4 wheel drive, 318 motor with auto trans. From dead stop when I push the gas pedal down, not accelerating very fast but once moving runs like it should. Did all the tuneup stuff. Was told that it could be idle air valve. Please help

Hey chico,
If the idle is within specs ...... then its not going to effect the performance. Is there a check engine light on?

Does the truck have the stock size tires? Taller tires without regearing will effect low speed acceleration
