Here is the instructions and location of the heater core, it can be done with everyday tools just take your time and be organized when doing the job.

NOTE: The evaporator case (Heater-A/C housing) must be removed from the vehicle first. See: Evaporator Case > Procedures
1. Remove heater A/C unit top cover.
2. Remove heater core to dash panel seal from the core tubes and remove the heater core from the unit.
3. To install, reverse the preceding operation.
REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
1. Discharge the air-conditioner refrigerant system.
2. Disconnect the battery negative cable.
3. Drain coolant from cooling system.
4. Remove air-conditioner expansion valve.
5. Disconnect heater hoses from heater core and plug tubes to prevent spilling coolant on interior of vehicle during unit removal.
6. Remove condensate drain tube.
7. Disconnect vacuum lines from water valve and vacuum supply nipple.
8. Remove unit to dash panel attaching nuts.
9. Remove radio assembly.
10. Remove console assembly.
11. Remove lower instrument panel.
12. Remove the right backing plate from under the steering column.
13. Remove the left and right instrument to floor console brace fasteners and position the braces out of the way without disconnecting wiring.
14. Remove air bag diagnostic module from the mounting, do not disconnect wire connector, and position out of the way. Remove module bracket from the floor.
15. Remove air distribution duct.
16. Remove defroster duct adapter.
17. Remove hanger strap from the unit end and swing the strap to the left out of the way.
18. Disconnect heater-A/C blower and vacuum connections.
19. Disconnect blend air door control cable from unit and disengage cable from clip on air duct.
20. Remove antenna cable from retainer clip on unit.
21. Position passenger side front seat rearward.
22. Remove unit from vehicle.
To install, reverse the preceding operation, evacuate and charge the refrigerant system.
