Hi my son has a 1996 neon and the heater motor is not working. I checked the fuse which had blown I replaced it and it blew right away. He did advise me that the motor had been making some weird noises prior to it quiting. Is it the motor which needs replacing? If so where is it located? I thought I saw it under the glove box is this correct? Should I replace the heater motor? Thanks

Its located there-try direct power to it to make sure it s defective-if it does comes back to life back track it to the blower motor resistor/blower motor relay and control switch. You have a short within the heater circuit.

If it doesn't come on-could also be the culprit blowing the fuse.
