I have a 2001 doge intrepid 2.7 motor size. I had a oil leak last year and then the car started knocking and I was told it threw a rod. i recently replaced the motor with one that has only 45,000 miles and after driving it for about two months I was told that I have another oil leak coming from the motor and the serivce engine light is on. Can thus be fixed, or do I have to replace the motor again? My mechanic said he would put some treatment in it, but I begining to wonder what is the chance of the same thing happening twice. What should I do.
