Hi
I have a '93 Dodge Intrepid ES with ony 87,000 miles and the brake light comes on while I'm dirving. Interestingly, the time it happens the most often is when I'm turning at 90 degrees or so at a slow speed, or when starting from a stop light. Couple of years ago I was told by a mechanic that this was due to oil leak and some major work was done to fix the leak. Looking at the garage floor there still seems to be some oil leak.
Also the car stalled a couple of times last week after the Check Engine light stayed on for a day or so. The same mechanic said that the computer diagnostic showed a cam sensor problem and replaced it for a total of $250 (about $90 for part; $160 for labor).
This is our second vehicle and we use it rather infrequently. I hate to give it up and buy a new car if I can just push along with this car without any major repairs for a couple of years.
Any advice would be great. Thanks.
