2002 Dodge Intrepid 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

I just put a new starter in today and now when I turn the key it makes this whining sound a nothing happens. What do I do?

Either the starter drive(bendix) is defective, or the installer may have not used the correct spacer (not used on all applications) Try a different starter. Rebuilds go like that sometimes!
