Upon turning the car on, while in idle, the rpm meter keeps moving from 1.5 to 2.5 continuously. The car is also shaking. This happened after replacing a bad battery. The battery was replaced twice and still same problem. I left car running between 5 - 10 minutes, pressed gas peddle a bit and didn't work. Also, I have turned the car off and restarted several times, but didn't work.

HI:
It sounds like the throttle position sensor is bad. The only way to be sure is to have the computer scanned for codes. Most parts stores will do it for free.

Let me know what you find.

Joe

Hi Joe,

advance auto parts let me use their scanner and I got the following code:

P1391 - INTERMITTENT LOSS OF CMP OR CKP

The code is correct, but correct me if I have misinterpreted it.
