1998 Dodge Intrepid Factory Alarm HELP

My battery died- alternator belt broke - and now the factory alarm goees off every time I put the key in. It will not let me even start the vehicle. Is there a way to rest this? Or any other helpful procedures? I cannot even move this from down the street to my house.

Anything would be great.

Disconnect the battery
place key in ignition and turn it on
reconnect the battery
