2006 Dodge Durango my engine light

My engine light came on when I was driving last night. It stayed on for w bit then I went to the store and it turned off again. Why did it do that. I haven't had the oil changed in 7 months. Could that be why?

Hello,

You could have a intermittent problem that is one reason the light went back off. Since the light came on it should have set a code. Go by your local auto parts store and have them pull codes. Post them here in forum.
