1998 Dodge Durango speedometer not working till 40 MPH

1998 Dodge Durango V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic 100K miles

100,000 on the car now.
ABS light is on to.

I have changed the speed sensor but that did not fix
it, I have not worked on the ABS problem yat.

my question is could the ABS light being on could that have anything to do with the speedometer not
working right.

Hi:
Have you had the computer scanned to determine what is causing the ABS light to be on? Most nationally recognized parts stores will scan it for free. As far as the two being tied together, I question that. However, once it has been scanned, we'll have a better idea.

I will do that my scan tool only reads trouble codes
and the only code is PO500 and I replaced the speed sensor but it still reads the same and it still only works when you get up to 40mph so I'm still trying to figure out what is going on there.
