Blower unit on heater and air conditioning quit, it is not a fuse, could it be the switch on the panel

Hi:
Yes it could be the switch, but before replacing it, I suggest some test be done. First, find the blower motor resostor on the firewall under the hood. I believe it's on the top of the firewall, passanger side. It will have several wires going into a plug. Once located, unplug it and using a test light, check for power to the resistor by turning the key on and the fan switch. If there is power there, you have two choices. First and easiest, replace the resistor. It's a cheap part and if it's bad, it will save you a lot of work. If you replace it and the blower still doesn't work, the motor must be bad. It's located under the dashboard on the passanger side. You will need to remove part of the dash assembly to get to it.
