Yesterday I had all of my tires, brakes and shocks replaced and now I am hearing a clunk noise when I go over bumps, the mechanic said I needed a sway bar replaced as the ball was loose in the joint. Why didn't I hear it yesterday?

You may have to be careful, sometimes you run into shady characters in this business that have nothing on their mind except to rip people off, for the heck of it, I would bring it to a shop that will just take a free look at it to see what it may be. Im thinking this guy just forgot to tighten something or put something on, so before this person takes you for a ride/ take it o midas or something see if they will take a quick look at it. Dont mention anything about the other guy that did the shocks.

Hi:
I can't answer why you didn't hear it without making potentially false actuations. However, if the shocks and other parts were noisy, maybe you didn't hear it before. Regardless, if you hear the noise when you hit bumps (like something is loose), they may need replaced.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Joe
