I lost heat while driving this morning, the check gauges light came on and the temp was high. I turned off the heater and fan and the temp went down some and the light went off. Did I blow the heater core or do I just need antifreeze? I live in Pa and its 24 degrees now and snowing.

The problem ended up being the water pump. And yes I did have antifreeze in it. Cost me some to get it fixed :(
