Hello,
I am the owner of a 1999 Dodge caravan, this is my second caravan and I have been very happy with them over the years. I have had very few problems but I have heard all the transmission horror stories and have some prevention questions.
It was reccommended to me to have the transmission fluids frequently checked and the filter changed but I have received different information re. tranny flushes. Some say it should be done regularly and others have said not to flush, just have the fluid changed as the flushing can cause some small parts to dislodge causing more problems.
To flush or not to flush....any advice? Any other helpful hints for prolonging the life of my tranny would also be appreciated.
Thank you! :D
