I recently noticed my factory radio/six CD changer was not working, only the clock was functional. Upon investigation, I found that the RDO/IP IGN fuse was blown. I changed the fuse and after a day it was blown again. Do I have a bad radio or a short in my wiring harness? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, well you could have a short or possibly a bad radio. or even a bad fuse box. you have to disconnect the radio and see if fuse still blows.if not radio the problem. if fuse still blows then it gets complicated there is really nothing else you can do without electrical troubleshooting. hope this helps, Billymac

I had this problem on my 2002 Chrysler Town and country. The radio is on the same circuit as the front cigarette lighter/power outlet. There was a dime stuck in the bottom of the outlet that was causing the short and blowing the fuse. Removed the dime and I was good to go.
