Can you tell if it is coming from under the hood?

It seems to be coming from under the hood,
but the steering pump is on the back of the
motor so it's hard to tell if it's the pump or
something else.

I need you to try something. What I want you to do is remove the belts from the engine. You may have 2 or only 1. Do this when the engine is cold. Start the engine without the belts, and see if the sound is gone.

NOTE: DO NOT RUN THE ENGINE FOR LONGER THAN 10 SECONDS. IT WILL OVERHEAT AND CAUSE NEW PROBLEMS FOR YOU. JUST RUN IT LONG ENOUGH TO SEE IF THE SOUND IS GONE.

Let me know what you find.
