Engin coolent liking after van is run for few miles. Ireplaced thermostate but no change pls. Advies

Is the temp gauge showing that the engine is hot? Also, where is the leak coming from? Finally, when the engine is cold, if you open the radiator cap and start the engine, does coolant come shooting out of the rad?
