1998 Dodge Caravan 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

hey guys hows it goin .problem with the ignition switch the key wont tun.ive tried turning the wheel and shaking a bit and wiggling the drive selector.it seems that by doing these things would solve the problem but it didnt.is it electrical or did the ignition switch take a dump.thanks for any help or input. that's a really common problem with your van,

the lock is getting dirty.

put the key in and tap on it with a hammer, your kid's ipod, whatever you have.

the lock needs to be cleaned out eventually.
