Engine Mechanical problem
1997 Dodge Avenger 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual

This morning I went out and started my car! And when I did there was a loud pop! I opened the hood to se my spark plug had shot out of the motor. I tookit to sears about a month ago and had a tuneup done because I didn't have time to do it my self. What could have happened to cause suck a thing? I tried threading the spark plugback in and it never tightened up?

One of two likley scenarios. When the plug was removed it either pulled some of the threads out with the plug and only partially held the new plug, or the newplug was overtorqued or cross-threaded. This may or may not be sears fault.

You can try to have the plug hole get a heli-coil installed or you may need a new head.
