The car listed above is a Coupe.

I'm a female so bear with me as I don't know all the car lingo.
Out the other day, I was at a red light and when the light turned green, I proceeded to turn left and was about to get hit by an oncoming vehicle and I panicked. I believe I was in first, or maybe second gear. All I remember is my car revving up very loudly. I know I had the gas pedal to the floor. But I'm not sure if I had the clutch pedal pushed down. I'm assuming the clutch pedal was pushed down or I would have hit the car in front of me, but it was revved up so loud. I did not get hit by the other car. My car smelled hot for a few minutes but drove fine. Now, a few days later I noticed my car smells hot like something is burning, after I've been driving for a while. Do you think I damaged anything?

Hi,

If it was running fine after this, I don't feel anything was damaged. These vehicles have a rev limiter which shuts things down before damage occurs from over-revving the engine.
When driving, does the temperature gauge indicate a normal condition? Also, where are you getting a smell from? Is it under the hood, under the dash, or just outside the vehicle? Are there any odd sounds since this happened?

Let me know. Also, check to make sure the engine coolant is full, and let me know how long it revved high.

Take care,

Joe
