Car stalled at a stop light and would not start up again

Driving car in town stopped at a light and the car stalled would not start. My father in- law is who I bought car from he looked over and figured out the harmonic balancer is bad. But all videos I watch the car still runs. Mine wont start period. Any suggestions?

All "crank, no start" conditions are approached in the same way.

Yes it's all crank no start. But I don't have any mechanical experience and don't have a mechanic that I trust. On a budget. If it jumped time will that stop it from starting

There are hundreds of things that will cause it not to start. Until you give me some test results, I can't tell you where to look.

Well all the lil test tools like to test spark n fuel pressure can I rent them or they cheap. Can I get em at O'Reilly's

You can buy a noid light and spark tester for under $10, same goes for an electrical test light. Most part stores will rent or loan a fuel pressure gauge.

Just called O'Reilly's they don't rent them but sell em. The guy said they range in price, 6-30$ depends on the quality I want. What can u recommend

I paid a guy 150$ up front to work on my car. He got the balancer bolt out then changed his number LOL.

This is what happened. I changed plugs wires air filter car ran good then it started losing power making funny noises one day it sounded like I was dragging something I stopped to look. Nothing. Stopped at a light car stalled wouldn't start. Bought harmonic balancer n belt for 130$ all brand new. The guy I paid said he thinks a injector is bad.
