Delay in air conditioner starting

Thank you very much. I will try and do the evacuation and recharging. I forgot to add that when I start the car in the morning, there is always water coming down from the undercarriage on the passenger side just behind the engine, close to the firewall. I had ascribed this to condensate from the A/C, then it occurred to me that it happens when I back out of the garage first thing in the morning even when I haven't driven the car or used A/C. Does this provide any further clues as to what might be wrong? Thank you.

Sorry for being so late in getting back on this site. Had to attend to some other personal issues. I got the equipment to evacuate the A/C system and refill with refrigerant. Unfortunately, I could not find any shop that will evacuate the refrigerant from the car at a lower price than complete refill. So I took to a shop to do the evacuation of refrigerant and also to refill it. In doing the diagnostics before charging with refrigerant, they found out that the Blower Motor Relay was faulty and it was replaced and new refrigerant charged. The A/C now works great. No more delays.
