Would my door panel coming off have any connection to this?

Hello,

You might have to provide more details.
If the door stays open (due to the panel removal), and that keeps any of the dome light on then yes it will drain the battery.

If it is not the case of lights staying on, then it could be due to a bad battery or having a parasitic drain on the battery.

In most cases if it is just a discharged battery it can be charged back up. It can be done with a battery charger. Also, if you jump start the vehicle and run it for some time this will also charge the battery back up by the alternator.

Please let me know what you might be experiencing or of any questions.
Thank you.
