Brake light is on the dash. The brake reservoir is full, and I don’t see any leak. The brakes are working. Any suggestions?

Hello,

The brake light can be on for a few different reasons. You have taken the correct first step of checking the fluid.
The brake light can be on due to a fault in the parking brake system, issue with the master cylinder or even the brake control module.

Do you have any other warning light illuminated? like the ABS or traction control light?

Take a look at this guide, it goes over the basics:

Go through this and let me know of any questions.

Thank you.

No other lights. We bought this car used from an individual and the traction light was on, but she called a friend, and it has not been on in a month.

You might want to have it scanned for ABS / Traction fault codes. Historical codes might be able to point to what could be the issue.
