When I apply the emergency brake the car still moves. I adjusted the cable under the center console and that just made it more difficult to raise the lever. What needs to be repaired in order to stop the car from rolling when I am parked, as the brakes work while driving?

Hi there,

I would be checking for a seized cable or a binding hand brake actuator at the rear brakes.

The reason for your parking brake not to work is your adjuster in side the rear rotor needs to free up and adjusted, you hav to remove your rear rotors in order to do this task
