Is the CV axle on a 2017-2019 Cherokee Trailhawk interchangeable on a 2020 Trailhawk?

The answer is maybe. I say that because the 2019 through 2021 rear axles will interchange depending on the options selected but the 2017 and 18 parts are different than the later versions so they won't fit. The front axles are different as well but in those the 2019 and 2020 will interchange but none of the earlier parts fit.
The best way to be sure of the ones you need is to use your VIN number on a site like mymoparparts. Com and see which part numbers come up. Then cross reference that part number, this is because of all the changes made in those years as they sourced parts globally. Be very careful with any aftermarket axles as well, There were some very subtle changes made that might result in someone thinking the parts are the same when they are not. For instance there are at least three different shaft lengths in those years, they only vary by about an inch but the difference is enough to cause damage depending on which dimension is wrong. IE use the longer shaft on a short shaft version and the axles can bottom out when the suspension compresses and crack the differential cases or damage the bearings, use the shorter shaft on the longest version and they can pull apart the inner joint when the suspension extends.
