Hi, I have a problem with my car, the fans don't start only when the engine temperature rises to 98 c degree. And they stop directly when the temperature goes down 97. I check the temperature sw and the sensors. And I want to know the location of fan control module because I think it has a problem. Thank you all.

Hi,

The cooling fans actually sound like they are working properly. The thermostat in the vehicle doesn't fully open until the temp reaches 195F. Which is 90.5C.

You are indicating the fans turn on at 98C which is 208F and back off at 97.1C (206F) which sounds normal.

As far as the module, the fans are controlled by the engine control module. I attached the wiring schematic below for you to reference. I had to cut the pic in half to make them readable. I did overlap the two.

Note that the fan switch isn't tripped until it is over 199 degrees F.

Let me know if this helps or if you have other questions.

Take care,

Joe

See pics below. Note pic 3 shows the temp range for it to turn on. You are very close to this.
