Over winter here in WV/PA it came on every now and then- tank was full. My husband started working in ND/Minnesota (a lot colder) in Feb, he would check it regular because it would come one. I just drove it back and we needed some work done from a deer. While it was there I told them about the warning light. They said it needs to be replaced and the tank has to also be replaced because the sensor is in it.
One person is saying the tank and sensor should have been replaced with the fan clutch since it was reading low and should have been checked. The dealership is saying they have nothing to do with each other.
As of right now, I have no idea and obviously need it fixed but I want to know if this should have been done then when the vehicle was covered under warranty, or did the dealership get lucky now that both bumper to bumper and power train are both up.
Any info would be appreciated!
