There is a bulletin to check for an unplugged ambient temperature sensor or open in the circuit. If all is good the ambient sensor is faulty.
#PIC6215A: AC Inoperative and/or Ambient Temperature Display Missing from the Radio - (Sep 14, 2018)
Subject:Â AC Inoperative and/or Ambient Temperature Display Missing from the Radio
Correction
Dealer to isolate and repair open circuit to the ambient temperature sensor.Â
Service Procedure:Â
Use GDS2 to check ambient temperature in the IPC data.
If it reads -40 there is an open to the ambient temperature sensor.
This leads to the radio not displaying a temperature and AC is also inoperative
Check for unplugged connectors or damaged harness to the ambient temperature sensor.Â
As for the steering wheel controls I would suspect a faulty clock spring.
