Cold to hot to cold back to hot

Driving it would be blowing cold then you could smell the air go out, then it would get hot. You drive about ten minutes and you would feel the clutch kick back on. You might keep riding and about twenty minutes later it would kick back off and do the same thing again over and over.

Hi,

The cycling on and off of the compressor is normal but it should not take too long (until you feel heat) for it to come back, something is wrong somewhere. It could be a faulty control, thermostat or the cooling could have been frosted (which usually occurs when fresh air is drawn into cabin).
You would need pressure gauges to test and diagnose operational faults.
