Hello, I changed the automatic transmission of my vehicle listed above 4S, by buying a guaranteed used one. The transmission was mounted by a non Porsche of reputable transmission workshop. It was fine after a while 2,000 miles have of PSM failure codes and it went in limp mode stops in second gear, from durametric it gave me these codes. As well as what should I make the workshop understand to do to repair? I also read that: Remember the PDK transmission is basically a semi-automatic transmission with 2 clutches, 2 drive shafts and 2 gear boxes. PDK translates to "Porsche Double clutch" in English can cost nearly $14,000.00 to rebuild. An alignment "must" be done at the dealer. Other shops will try to align it but they will fail. The alignment has to consider 3 different ride heights (not just the normal one) and there's no normal camber adjustment. You have to slide the engine sub-frame for that. Your local alignment shop won't do it but they will gladly charge you for a incomplete job.

Hello,

The first code isn't really a code, it is the transmissions version of the check engine light telling you to scan the transmission module for the real codes.

P1583 Transmission Mount Valve might be the real code, however I have seen a few problems when using any scan tools other than the Porsche dealer unit, this code is one of them that is out there for the Durametric tool. Therefor I would take it to a shop or dealer who has the correct Porsche tool and have them scan it to be sure you are seeing the real code.
Would not want you to need to work on the transmission only to discover the problem is actually in the air suspension or a bad ABS sensor. Those are expensive enough.
