Lately my car has been throwing up this code. It came up a while back when I was in heavy traffic in LA, had to slam on my brakes several times. For a while the check engine light would turn on and off so I figured it was not anything major, but now the light has been solid for several weeks so I am getting a bit worried. I am pretty sure my ABS is not working anymore because my car runs differently than it use to, I cringe every time I have to brake because it takes a lot of force, where as before it would gradually start breaking whenever I took my foot off the petal. I went to a mechanic less than a month ago and my brake pads and rotors were fine. Lately my ECO feature has not been working either. The car does not turn off when I come to a stop, the light just does not come on anymore. What could this code mean? Is there anything I can do to fix this problem myself because a Saturn dealer is no where near me?

Hello,

It sounds like the brake assist is not working anymore. With the ABS problem it is most likely an ABS wheel speed sensor problem. But to confirm lets run a test on the left rear.

Please let us know what happens, we are interested to see what it is.

Cheers, Ken
