I can shift into gear without pushing in the clutch, sounds like it goes into gear when I do press the gas but wont move forward or backwards. Engine revs up when I press on the gas. This happened after I tried to pop start it twice then when I tried the third time there was a loud pop and it stopped moving.

sounds like a clutch problem like the disc is bad.

Yep the clutch disc is bad, here is a guide on what you are in for for to replace it, this is a rear wheel drive car but the process is very similar.
