When I got my car the clutch return spring on the pedal assembly was broken. Therefore, after I put new bronze bushings into the assembly, I have no idea how much pressure has to be put on the clutch return spring when I re-attach the clutch pedal to the rod and put the pin through it. Should the pin be put into the rod vertically, or horizontally? There has to be enough spring pressure from the spring to draw back the cable. Please let me know what to do. Thank you Robert Mason.

Hello,

You only need enough to pull the pedal back to position as long as its tight. The more tension the quicker the return. Is this bushing not a Porsche part?

I replaced the nylon bushing with a bronze bushing (a Porsche part). My question is, how much tension should be put on the return spring(it's attached to the same rod that the clutch pedal attaches to)in order for me to attach the pedal back on the rod and put the pin in to hold the pedal on the rod?Does the pin go in vertical, or horizontal?

Can you please shoot a quick video with your phone so we can see what's going on? That would be great. You can upload it here with your response.

Hello Bob,

If you use your phone to take a video, when it's open and your looking at the recording of it there should be a place to share it. You could share it to your email then get the email on your regular computer and save it from there to the desktop. Then when your on 2CarPros and you click upload an image open the file from your desktop.
