I can’t hear it engage and just had it replaced a few days ago. I know it should engage when it gets over 210 degrees or so. Is there a sensor that might need to be replaced? The vehicle in question is a motor home.

Hi Chucker,

I need more information from you. Do you know if the fan clutch is a self contained fan clutch that is under hood temperature-controlled for engagement -- or is it the ECM/PCM signal that controls the level of engagement of the EV (Electro-Viscous) clutch (there will be wires coming from the clutch to a wiring harness). Both systems come up on a parts search.

VIN number might help in knowing your engine systems.
