Recently had the cluster replaced. It worked for about half hour and all gauges quit reading lights all light up the battery light, check engine, ABS, airbag, A/C does not worked or the radio. The mechanic could not figure it out and I am reluctant to pay any more money to this guy. He replaced the ignition and it did the same thing. Where do I begin to look? Also, it has been sitting for about five years but started regularly.

If it was not programmed to your car that may be the problem as they are VIN number specific. Ask it if it was.

If speedometer does not work then it is not done correctly, besides he should not charge you for fixing it if it was not done correctly, which I think is the problem or it has a bad connection at back of cluster.
