Hi, my dads car's speedometer is reading thirty mph when he is in park and when he is driving he says when he is going sixty it is really ninety. When he starts it up it reads thirty mph anyone had this problem. I am thinking the cluster is bad. Is their anyway to test it. Thanks.

Sounds like a bad stepper motor in the cluster. GM has a bunch of bad ones floating around out there. If you are handy with a soldering iron you can buy a kit with all the stepper motors to repair that dash off eBay. It is not a hard repair as long as you follow the directions.

Or send it to a place that repairs them like drspeedometer. Com or bobsspeedometer. Com or gmgaugerepair. Com or any of the others you can find.
