Sometimes while making a left turn, I here a thump/knock from the front. It doesnt do it all the time. It will do it if a bump is hit while turning. It has new tie rod ends and stabilizer links. Is this a sign of the struts failing?

Struts can cause a knocking noise, but usually after months of miserable ride quality. That alone is not exactly a safety concern but it will affect handling and tire wear. Worn lower ball joints are a more common suspect. Clunking and knocking noises on Ford products must never be ignored, even for a few days. Ford has had more trouble with steering and suspension parts separating leading to loss of control and crashes than all other manufacturers combined. This has been a problem since the mid 1970s. The vehicle should be inspected at least annually at a tire and alignment shop and whenever you hear a new noise. They are experts at locating the causes of noises.

Everyone seems to be having trouble with control arm bushings lately. Those aren't as serious as ball joints but they'll also lead to handling and tire wear problems.
