Hi,

That's an interesting one. By chance, can you tell approximately where it is coming from? For example, front, rear, left, right, inside, exterior, and so on. Also, if it is loud enough to record, could you do that and upload it for me to hear?

Let me know.

Is there anything that seems to prompt the sound? For example, does it happen when you first turn the key to the run position? Does it happen when you close the door?

I'm sorry for so many questions, but this is a tough one without being there. Also, when you say front, is it in the vehicle, or does it seem more so under the hood or outside the vehicle? I ask because if it's outside the vehicle, it could something like an exhaust hanger that broke, and the exhaust is swinging and bumping something from the movement of you getting in the vehicle.

Let me know as much as you can.

Take care,

Joe

The first thing I would check is the exhaust system. Take and see if you can move it around by the tail pipe.

Let me know what you find.

Thanks. Could it be struts, ball joints, or shocks?

Hi,

Anything is possible, but those things have pressure on them and simply getting into the vehicle wouldn't likely cause a noise.

I guess if you have a shock that is completely blown and the bushings mounts are bad, it could happen, but that is really unlikely.

Have you had a chance to check the exhaust? Also, have a helper get in the vehicle while you stand alongside it and see if you can hear it from the outside.

Let me know.

Hi,

I haven't heard from you for a few days. Have you had any luck finding where the noise comes from? I'm interested in knowing.

Take care,

Joe
