My temperature will not go below 85 on the screen. When I turn the knob it fluctuates between 85 and 86 degrees. At first I thought it might be the knob but it seems to be working as it does change from 86 to 85 when turning down and back to 86 when turned up also I have intellilink if that makes a difference. I wasn't sure if interlink has malfunctioned.

Just to clarify, does the actual temperature stay blowing around 85 degrees or does it seem to blow colder then that and the display is just wrong? Or does it blow hot all the time and you can't adjust it any lower then 85?

Maybe get a video of what it is doing and if you can put a vent thermometer in the vent just to show what it is blowing. You can pick those up and most any parts store for around $5.00. Picture below of what they look like. Thanks

Okay. Good job. That is just what we needed. The fact that the temperature doesn't change tells me that the control module is most likely to blame for all of this. I would suggest changing it and more then likely you can find one online for less then $100.00.

I would change it out and then retest everything and see where we stand.

So I got the part today and installed it. So yes it seems it is now working at auto came on and started blowing cold air. Now my question is, is do I need to have it programmed at the dealership it doesn't seem to be working properly when I use the fan control it now changes the temperature and the temperature control does nothing and only the defrost button works. It seems it just needs to be programmed. Is it a bad part or does it need programming?

There is a programming step at the end of the install process but I don't think it will solve this issue.

However, it is worth a try to have it programmed if this was a new part. If you got it used then I suspect the part is faulty.

Then it is up to you. You can try to have it programmed but they will charge for that or just contact Carid.

Maybe contact them first and tell them what is happening and ask that you are willing to have this process performed but if it doesn't repair it (which you suspect it won't) that they should reimburse you for that as well. This way it lets them make that decision.

So I have a question, is there any way for me to program this myself using computer via USB port by downloading file? If so can you please walk me through it and give me software or files whatever it is I need to download? I will put my VIN up so the right software can be installed. I'd rather not pay $160.00 to have it programmed, but I will if I have to.

Unfortunately it is not that type of "programming." You are not performing a software download type of programming. You are teaching the module the starting and stopping point of the doors in the HVAC system and calibrating the module to the sensors.

Basically each system will operate a little different so the module needs to learn the quirks of this one so that it can operate as best as possible.

This is why I doubt doing this process will fix what you are seeing with this module. Again, I would suggest just calling the supplier of the part and telling them what it is doing. I suspect they will just have you send that one back and they will send another.
