Clicking noise

Sometimes it makes a clicking noise while turning. The noise does not always happen, just sometimes. It happens going in drive and in reverse. I notice it more often when I am backing out of parking spots. I cannot make it happen, it just does it when it wants to.

I have had a mechanic check the CV joints twice, and have had Firestone do it twice too. They have all said they are fine.

I have replaced: the front driver wheel bearing, both sides of the sway bar links, both front tires, the front break pads and calipers, removed the "wheel covers" and have had an alignment done.

Any Ideas? I have owned the car for a year and the clicking has happened the entire time I have owned it.

Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros.com

If it happens mostly when turning, that does sound like a CV joint. Often times it is hard to feel wear in a joint by mechanically inspecting them.

Does the sound change with vehicle speed? For example, if you are stopped, turn and accelerate, does the clicking increase with speed?

Take a look through this link and let me know if anything is helpful.

Let me know.

Take care,
