2004 Citroen Zara windscreen wipers

2004 Citroen Zara Two Wheel Drive Manual 41500 miles

windscreen wiper have stopped working I have checked the fuses, mechani has checked the motor which is ok, i have reset the computer, ie disconnected battery, no change. Mechanic said something about a relay switch and cears for wipers, a bit over my head can you tell me solution and how to fix it,##thanks

replace the relay located in the fuse/relay box

The control panel? for the lights above the steering wheel was taken off, when it was put back on the wipers worked, must have rebooted something.
