Is there a check engine light on? There could possibly be a problem with the TPS.(Throttle position sensor) If there's an OPEN in the sensor right off the idle position, this could cause a problem. Not a guaranteed fix but a possiblity. There could also be a vacuum leak. If the PCM can compensate for the vacuum leak at idle, when you open the throttle, too much air may be introduced into the engine and cause it to die. Again, another possiblity. You could also even have a transmission problem. Let's check for codes in the PCM first. (Check engine light)
