Car started fine, drove a couple of blocks and then we parked for a bit. We got back in shortly after, and suddenly it refused to start. Had to get it towed home.

All the electrics appear fine - starter turns really strong - no problems. It just wont kick in.

I am suspecting there is a fuel issue - such as the pump going out or a blockage somewhere. In either cases, I been told its not a quick fix. Unfortunately I cannot afford to get it checked out - so mean time my whole family is stuck in the house. This really sucks...

Cranks but no start condition-do below to determine whether it's fuel or spark problem. When you turn the key to the on position without cranking the engine over can you hear the fuel pump run in the tank for 5 seconds?

Please run down this guide and report back.
