1998 Chrysler Town and Country CAR WILL NOT START

went to the gym and came out and car will not start! engine turns over no problem checked the fuel pump and not getting power to the pump, have swapped the relays from the auto shutdown and the fuel pump relay but they are not getting entergized, question is what powers up the fuel pump relay? and also the only relay that seems to be working when you turn on the key is the EATX relay, what could be the problem?

Welcome, I'd check the cam and crank senor circuits. Voltage to the load side of fuel pump relay is hot all the time. Voltage to the coil side of relay goes hot when you turn the key on. The computer grounds the coil side of relay in order to energize. Any codes? Without cam and crank signals, you get nothing.

no codes stored in the computer, there is power to the relay on the load side.

OK, any voltage at the coil side of relay? With the relay unplugged, you can use a testlite, see how many hot terminals?

Yes i have power on the load and control side of the relay! will the auto shutdown relay affect the fuel pump relay?
and what other sensors affect the fuel pump relay thourgh the powertrain control module?

now i have ops checked the relays and they are fine, but i still can not jumper the fuel pump relay! i have power on both the primery side and the secondary side but the relays will still not work pluged in. do i have a grounding problem or is there a seneor stopping the fuel relay to work? or is it the computer?

you can test the ground circuit for coil side of relay. Use led testlite connected to voltage touch ground terminal, have helper crank engine, if there is a ground, the lite comes on. If no ground, check the cam and crank sensor circuits. check for codes
